Dr. Stan Cooke VS Spencer Bachus - The Battle For Real American Values

Dr. Stan Cooke VS Spencer Bachus

The Battle For Real American Values

The Republican Primary Election will define the Republican Party in Alabama for years to come. At stake are real American values, lower taxes, less regulation, reduced Federal spending, smaller government, State’s Rights and the Constitution of the United States.

The differences between me and my opponent, Spencer Bachus, could not be more obvious. I have always been a true conservative Republican and I have never wavered from the American values that has shaped that political philosophy. Mr. Bachus on the other hand has a 20 year record in Congress of claiming to be a conservative but voting like a liberal democrat. To prove this point, examine how Spencer Bachus sponsored, co-sponsored and/or voted for the following legislation.

1. Global Poverty Act - Cost To Tax-payers - $845 Billion Dollars. U.S. Dollars to be given to the United Nations. Co-sponsored by Spencer Bachus and Barack Obama.

5. Car Allowance Rebate System [Cash for Clunkers] Cost to Tax-payers - $3 Billion Dollars. A Federal scrapping program intended to provide economic incentives to U.S. residents to purchase a new, more fuel-efficient vehicle when trading in a less fuel-efficient vehicle. The program was promoted as providing stimulus to the economy by boosting auto sales, while putting safer, cleaner and more fuel-efficient vehicles on the roadways. Spencer Bachus Voted for this bill.

6. Education For All Act (2007) Cost to Tax-payers - $3 Billion Dollars

The Education For All Act would improve facilities, train teachers, provide lunch programs and empower foreign countries that are placing a priority on education. Money given to poor nations and not to education programs in the United States.

Spencer Bachus co-sponsored this bill with Senators Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and Gordon Smith (R-OR) and Representatives Nita Lowey (D-NY).

The Total Cost to the American Tax-payer of these 6 bills voted for by Spencer Bachus

is $1,557,980,000,000.00 [1 Trillion, 557 Billion, 980 Million Dollars]

We cannot afford another 2 years of Spencer Bachus in Congress. It is time for new leadership in Washington D.C.
