Smaller Government, Balanced Budget & No Earmarks

The Keynesian view point is that a balanced budget is achieved when the government equates the revenue with expenditures over the business cycles. In other words, a government’s budget is balanced if its income is equal to its expenditure. It is a budget in which revenues are equal to spending.

A small Federal Government with the least amount of tax dollars going to the Federal Government is the goal. This will reduce the power of the Federal Government over the daily lives of the American people and return that power and authority back to the States and the people.

Eliminate all unfunded mandates.

Earmarks - Pork Barrel Spending - An earmark is a congressional provision that directs approved funds to be spent on specific projects or that directs specific exemptions from taxes or mandated fees. Government spending for localized projects secured solely or primarily to bring money to a representative’s district must be eliminated. A new tax policy such as the Fair Tax will allow the States to keep tax dollars at the State level and the States can determine when, where and how to develop projects that is in the States best interest.
